Patrols

Updated 29 July 20262 min read

Besides static missions, armed helicopters patrol the map. They are the most dangerous target in the game and one of the most profitable.

What they are

An armed UH-1H with a pilot and two gunners. The crew are veterans.

Two patrols are airborne at any time. They fly at around 150 metres and patrol an area 900 metres across.

Why they are dangerous

A helicopter attacks players within 200 metres. The crew spot you with ordinary vision, so cover and vegetation genuinely help: under canopy and inside buildings your odds are far better.

Patrols never come within 250 metres of the trade zone and do not attack players inside the safe zone.

What they drop

Reward Amount
Reputation for the kill 2,000 (fixed)
Cash in the wreck crate 6,000–10,000 $
Loot from the wreck the tier 4 table — the richest in the game

The crash site with its crate lasts 10 minutes, then is cleaned up. A "Heli Crash" marker appears on the map for everyone.

A new patrol spawns 10 minutes after the previous one is destroyed.

Patrol vehicles are locked

Like all mission vehicles, the helicopter and its wreck are fully locked: no entry, no engine, no cargo. The reward is in the crash-site crate only.

Town patrols

Separately, AI foot patrols walk the towns — 2 to 4 soldiers at tier 1. They carry no money but do pay reputation. They never come within 300 metres of the trade zone.
