Military zones

Updated 12 September 20262 min read

Military zones sit in fixed places. Unlike missions, which pop up at random points and vanish once cleared, a zone is always where it was yesterday. You can learn it and you can prepare for it.

Inside there is a small garrison of good shots and military loot in the buildings — the kind you will not find in ordinary houses. That is what people come for.

The alarm#

Any shot fired inside the zone raises the alarm. It does not matter whether you hit anything.

  • Defenders move to the shot position.
  • A siren wails — every player in the area hears it, not just you.
  • While you keep shooting, the alert does not expire.

The siren sounds once, when the alarm goes up. After that the alert is extended silently.

Restocking#

Loot and the dead garrison come back some time after the zone is cleared. You cannot predict the exact moment — a random delay is added to the interval.

While a living player is nearby, the restock is postponed. Camping a cleared zone waiting for the respawn is pointless: it will not happen until you leave.

What you get#

Military loot in the buildings, and reputation for every defender killed — see Earning reputation for how it is calculated.

No building nearby#

A build ban covers the zone with a margin beyond its edge. You cannot plant a base against it and farm the zone from the balcony.
