First 10 minutes

Updated 12 September 20264 min read

You arrive with a minimal kit: enough to be dressed and to survive one contact, not to fight.

What you have#

  • Shirt, trousers, boots
  • A PM pistol and two magazines for it
  • A field dressing and a tourniquet
  • Binoculars and a compass in your pocket
  • 0 cash and 100,000 $ in the bank
  • 0 reputation

You do not need a map item — the map opens with M at any time.

The first thing to do#

Grab a quad bike. It is free: F2 menu → "Server info" → "Spawn quad bike". It appears right next to you.

On foot the map is enormous — with a quad it becomes crossable. The limits are simple: one per player, it disappears when you log out and does not survive a restart. That is fine — take a new one every time, it costs nothing.

Walk the houses. Loot is spread across the whole map at server start, and there is a lot of it. It sits inside buildings on furniture: tables, shelves, cabinets. Never on the floor.

  • Ordinary houses — clothing, medical supplies, building materials, and weapons too: pistols, rifles such as the AK74 and M16, and magazines for them. Finding your first gun in a residential block is entirely realistic.
  • Military sites are not marked on the map at all — you find them by eye and remember where they are. More weapons and ammunition there, and a wider range, and they are the only place plastic explosive, grinders and crowbars drop, without which you cannot build C4 or open someone's safe. But a garrison holds each site, and a shot fired inside sets off a siren and pulls everyone towards it.

The starting PM covers one short fight — a real weapon you either loot or buy.

Money can wait. Your starting 100,000 $ sits in the bank and is not going anywhere — you can withdraw it any time in the trade zone. Take out only what you are about to spend: cash drops into your body when you die, while the bank is never touched.

What is sold where is covered in Traders. Whatever a trader does not stock, look for on the player market.

The trade zone is safe#

The safe zone has a 500 metre radius around the traders and is marked on the map. Inside it damage does not apply at all: you cannot be killed, and you cannot kill anyone — including shooting from inside the zone outwards.

Weapons are holstered automatically inside the zone. The only thing you may hold is a map.

Where money comes from#

  1. Loot in buildings. Placed once at server start and does not respawn until the next restart. It only sits on furniture inside buildings, never on the floor.
  2. Missions. AI-held points appear on the map; clearing one gives a crate holding 300–700 $ at tier 1 up to 6,000–10,000 $ at tier 4.
  3. Selling loot to traders. They pay 20 % of the buy price (25 % for vehicles), but they pay instantly.
  4. Player market. Gear is worth listing yourself: you set the price, but a buyer can take days to show up.

What not to do#

Do not log out during combat. After any shooting nearby you carry a combat flag for 60 seconds. Logging out with it kills your character, and the body with all your gear stays on the map for 30 minutes for anyone to search.

Do not carry everything as cash. On death all your cash drops into your corpse, while the bank is never lost. Earned it — bank it.

Where to go next#

Once you have saved up for a base, read Territory & flag. A level 1 flag costs 100,000 $ — not a first-evening goal.
